A Cautionary Tale

by The Pauses

Jiin Cruz This album is all over the place, and I'm following it willingly. Cool garage rock sound, piano music, paced electronic pop, acoustic chords, all carried by the cool vocal melodies of Tierney Tough. This album is somehow ridiculously eclectic without being at all confusing. I guess my takeaway is that style is really that important, and is bigger than genre -- these people wrap their broad spectrum of sound in a tightly woven vision, writing songs without a single wasted measure.
